As summer comes to an end and we officially kick off football season, I couldn't be more proud of this group of young ladies!
Our summer has been filled with hard work, fun, and serving our community. We've spent countless hours learning new choreography, cheers, and stunts while growing together as a team. But being a cheerleader is about so much more than what happens on the sidelines. It's about leadership, service, and making a positive impact.
Here's a look at what we've accomplished this summer:
~Served dirty sodas at the Sawdust Festival, raising money for our cheer program.
~Had the opportunity to serve dirty sodas again at Harper's Pool Day, where we proudly donated all of our proceeds back to the Harper Anderson Memorial.
~Collected over 800 pounds of food to help stock our local food pantry.
~ Strengthened our friendships through team-building activities and a scavenger hunt.
~Decorated picture frames for our lockers to kick off the season.
~Painted kindness rocks and hid them around the elementary playground for students to discover during recess.
I always tell the girls that being a Wildkat Cheerleader means more than cheering at games. It means serving others, being a positive role model, and representing our school and community with pride. This team has embraced that mission, and I couldn't be more honored to be their coach.
You can catch our dirty sodas again at Elementary Back to School Night and Living History Day!
Thank you to everyone who supported our fundraisers, donated to our food drive, and encouraged these athletes throughout the summer. We appreciate each and every one of you!
Now...it's time for Friday night lights!
