Tommorow night is our first official Homecoming activity! We have the Community Pep Rally at 6:30PM at the football field followed by the bonfire in the student parking lot!

As a reminder the Scoop Skool Bus food truck will be at the community pep rally on Wednesday! They will be parked near the football concession stand serving from 4:30PM-7:30PM.

With Homecoming next week, the District is looking forward to celebrating our students during the Homecoming parade on October 2, 2026.

For those interested in volunteering to participate by pulling a float in the parade, driving a sports team, or otherwise driving a vehicle in the parade, please understand that the District’s insurance does not cover trailers, tractors, or other personal vehicles. The District has confirmed this with its insurance provider, which clarified that it does not provide coverage for this type of event. As a result, any insurance coverage relevant to participation in the Homecoming parade falls on the owner/operator of the vehicle to procure.

While there have been no accidents during a Homecoming parade for at least the last 10 years, the District recommends that drivers acquire their own insurance.

The District is excited to have members of the community willing to support our students and to participate in the Homecoming parade. We hope parents continue to participate in this long time tradition.

(The following information was a quote from 3 years ago. The rates may have increased slightly, but increasing your liability insurance coverage for one month is will not have a significant impact on your insurance.) I have checked with my personal insurance company about how best to make sure I am properly insured and they suggested upping the liability insurance from $100,000 to $1,000,000. The cost increase on my vehicle was $9 a month. I was also told once the event concluded I could go back to my previous coverage.

While accidents during a parade are very rare, the district hopes this information assists you when deciding to drive a vehicle in the parade.
