Day 3:
Ag students began their last day touring Bayer, exploring plant science and the research projects in progress. Our plant science tours continued with Covercress, learning about the research with a possible winter crop to plant in between growing traditional row crops. A panel of biotechnology experts spoke with students during our lunch. The final tour of our journey was the Donald Danforth Plant Science Center, a nonprofit research facility for various crops and plants.
A huge thank you to MOBIO for sponsoring their very first student tour. This provided students an amazing opportunity to discover the up and coming technology and practices in the agriculture industry and the ability to network with others.
