The King City School District would like to give a big congrats to our 2024/25 nominee for Reginal Teacher of the Year in Northwest Missouri, Jackie Hunsucker. Jackie Hunsucker is a cornerstone of King City Elementary for 12 years, where she is a dedicated 6th-grade teacher and an invaluable love for teaching and specifically teaching math. Her passion for education, coupled with her specialized knowledge in mathematics, makes her a truly exceptional educator. She has a natural talent for connecting with her students, making complex subjects accessible and engaging, which is why she's known for being great for kids. The depth of her commitment and the significant positive impact she has on both her students' academic growth and the school's overall performance solidify her position as a huge asset to the King City community.

2025 Football Minikats was a success! Over 90 girls from King City and Union Star schools participated. They made a tunnel, learned cheers, and kept spirits high for our winning Wildkats!!

Another late announcement for JH softball. Pitcher Preslee Deatherage threw another no hitter in the 13-2 win against Worth County last Thursday. The Lady Kats are currently 11-0 on the season and will play in the Albany tournament on Saturday!
