Titus Myers is my choice for August Kathlete of the month.  Titus is a good example to his peers and always strives to do his best. He has battled some minor injuries and as we strive to stay on top of that, he continues to be patient and positive as he continues to overcome them. His determination and dedication towards his running is obvious but Titus also has shown such fortitude!  Titus is an amazing example to all of us, as he continues to set his goals, in and out of the classroom, but specifically his goals for this season.  As his XC Coach I am very grateful for his willingness to work hard and for his commitment to his running!!

WAY TO GO TITUS!!!!

High School Football:  Cooper Mooney

Cooper is the ultimate team player. During the preseason, he was asked to move from Tight End to Offensive Line. He responded with, "Whatever is best for the team."  Since his position change, Cooper has been excelling in his new position.  Cooper is also a senior leader on our team and sets a great example for others to follow, both in the classroom and on the field.

Junior High Football:  Alex Kendrick

Alex has improved greatly in terms of his football IQ and is an anchor for us on the Offensive and Defensive Line. He brings a physicality and toughness to the game that is unmatched. He always gives his best effort and does whatever he can for his team to succeed. I look forward to seeing how much he improves over the course of the season.

Varsity Volleyball – Annalee McGhee
Sophomore Annalee McGhee has kicked off the season with unmatched energy, focus, and growth. Since last year, she has made remarkable strides not only in her technical skill but in her understanding of the game and her emerging leadership on the court. Annalee is consistently encouraging to her teammates, highly coachable, and brings contagious positivity to every practice and match. In the season opener, she held her own against a powerful senior opponent, showcasing grit, determination, and composure well beyond her years. With her rapid development and drive, Annalee’s future in volleyball is nothing short of blindingly bright.

Junior High Volleyball—Peyton Stewert

Peyton is new to our school district and decided to go out for the team. She is a soccer player that has never played volleyball. She has improved greatly over the first 3 weeks of practice. During our first match against Rockport, she made several good plays during the "A" games. Peyton also stood out as a great teammate. She had a positive attitude and never got down or quit trying.  We are excited that she came out for the team and happy to have her at King City.
