Agriculture: the science or practice of farming, including cultivation of the soil for the growing of crops and the rearing of animals to provide food, wool, and other products. For as long as I can remember agriculture has been an important part of my life. Growing up on our family farming operation and in the Agriculture Education department at King City R-1 are where some of my fondest memories were made. After graduating from King City in 2004, I attended Northwest Missouri State University majoring in Agriculture Education . In 2008, I accepted my first teaching position in Monroe City, Missouri, where I taught high school agriculture for three years. In 2011 I accepted my current position as the Agriculture Instructor and FFA advisor at King City R-1. Production agriculture continues to be a mainstay in my life as my wife, children and I raise cattle on our family farm west of King City. King City is my home and I cannot think of a better place to work or raise my family than at my alma mater.
